2010 is well underway and we hope the new year has been good to everyone so far.

We are pleased to announce that we have added a Brother Facebook page. Check it out at: www.facebook.com/pages/Brother/414281845636 become a "Fan" and leave us a comment on our page today!!

Brother has been busy as usual and January has just set the tone for the rest of the year!

In case you haven't heard, we were very excited, proud and honored to learn that we are nominated for 4, count 'em....4, Whammys this year!! That's right kids, it's Whammy time! Just a couple weeks ago, Whatzup Magazine announced the nominees for their 2009 Best Of Readers Poll. We are nominated for:

Best Rock Performer - Covers
Best Metal/Hard Rock Performers
Best Live Performer - Band
Performer of the Year - Band

We sure would appreciate your vote!! To vote, go to www.whatzup.com and click on the link in the top left corner. Make sure you read the rules and fill out the form completely. You don't even have to vote in every category if you don't want to...just look for the 4 categories BROTHER is nominated in! Will only take you about 5 minutes! You can vote online through Sunday, January 31, but make sure you get your votes in!! You can also vote by picking up a Whatzup magazine, filling out the poll, and sending it back by mail...just make sure it's postmarked by January 31st.

Then the cherry on top came about a week later, when we received a call asking us to perform again this year at the Whammy Awards Show at Piere's on Thursday evening, February 18th!!

So get your votes in and put February 18th on your calendar and plan to attend the Whammy show! It's a full night of awesome talent from all the best Ft. Wayne local bands, entertainers, and radio and TV personalities! Tickets will go on sale in February so keep watching the Whatzup papers and our websites for ticket information.

We're also proud to announce that we have been asked to participate in The Embassy Theatre's Down the Line 4 - Legends From Locals, presented by Hoosier Park Racing & Casino!! Down the Line is a one-night music tribute to five legends of rock-n-roll to benefit Fort Wayne's legendary Embassy Theatre on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Down the Line, a truly unique celebration of music, the arts and community, is a fundraiser for the Embassy Theatre. Each band selected to perform at this music extravaganza will perform a set by an artist that inspired them and do a set of that particular artist's work. This year's official band lineup is:

FAWN LEIBOWITZ - will cover the music of David Bowie

HUCKLEBERRY BLUE - will cover the music of Hank Williams Sr.

THUNDERHAWK - will cover the music of The Beatles

FLAMINGO NOSEBLEED - will cover the music of The Ramones

BROTHER - will cover the music of QUEEN

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 week of show. Tickets on sale now at the Embassy box office, all other Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com.

We're excited about this unique show and know that you won't want to miss it, plus it will give you the opportunity to help raise money for one of our cities most beloved, renown venues!

We are looking at the possibility of chartering a passenger bus for our next trip down to Cincinnati, Ohio when we return to rock Charlie's Throttle Stop again on Saturday, March 13. You would get a ride there and back (all in the same day...no hotel stay) and it would only cost $20 a person for the bus ride! This way you could get there and back without having the expense of a hotel, not have to worry about drinking and driving, not have to put the mileage on your personal car, have the expense of gas, etc. To keep the cost at $20 per person, we need 55 people to sign up and fill the bus to cover the cost of the charter. Let's bring the Indiana attitude and Brother Family to Ohio and show them what a REAL Brother Party is all about!! If this is something you would be interested in, please send us an email at brotherband@comcast.net so we can get a feel for whether or not we could fill a bus. Let's take it on the road!! Yeeehaaaaaaaaaa!

So where's the party this weekend, you ask?? We return to rock the roof off SKIP'S PARTY PLACE in Angola, IN!! Friday and Saturday, January 29 & 30!! Let's fill this place like we did the last time we were there!! We get the party started at 9:30 up at SKIP'S so get there early and avoid the door cover charge! And as always...we'll be rockin' Angola two weeks in a row, returning to SKIP'S the following weekend, February 5-6, as well!! Call all your friends and we'll meet ya'll at SKIP'S this weekend!!

Other exciting news is that we still have WINTER BROTHERWEAR available!! If you don't have your Brother Hoodie or Long Sleeve Tee, hit us up at a show and we'll hook you up! No Brother fan should be without one!!
